YOU WHO WYATTSMOM =)

Cindy's picture

I figure you didnt get my personal message since you're so good at getting back to me.

Try cutting off the melatonin for about a week if you can, Wyatt has probably built up a

tolerance to it. If you can I'd give him benadryl to go to sleep & give him a warm bath

with the light sticks I talked about earlier, keep the lights low. The melatonin will work

better if you take him off of it for just a little bit. I take it myself. Good luck. Im sure we've

all had our share of sleepless nights.

CHALKBOARD

Cindy's picture

I just wanted to let y'all know the chalkboard is a big success woo hoo lol.

Actually there are two boards about four feet wide and three feet long.

My husband will put them up this weekend. Today I just leaned one up against

the wall, Marcel had a blast!! He'd color for awhile, then bring the chalk to me

to exchange colors. We used sidewalk chalk which is safer for him in case he

trys to take a bite out of the chalk yuck. The paint only cost about $13 and it

was well worth it!!

Biting

Cindy's picture

Marcel has been trying to bite again when he gets mad. Does anybody

else have this problem?

PICA

Cindy's picture

Marcel has pica...., its gotten alot better over the years. Im just curious if anybody else's kids

have it..........

Many young children put nonfood items in their mouths at one time or another. They're naturally curious about their environment, and they may, for instance, eat some dirt out of the sandbox. Kids with pica, however, go beyond this innocent exploration of their surroundings. As many as 25% to 30% of kids (and 20% of those seen in mental health clinics) have an eating disorder called pica, which is characterized by persistent and compulsive cravings (lasting 1 month or longer) to eat nonfood items.

OKAY IM BORED

MOBILE HOME DISASTER

Cindy's picture

Hi everybody,

We watch Mobile Home Disaster on CMT figuring that eventually they would get around to our old mobile home park, and they did. It's a fun show, its not only funny but heart warming because they help out people who really deserve it. This time they helped out the daughter and son in law of Hasley Cyn Mobile Home Parks manager Marty. It was fun to see Marty & her husband Slug (I dont know his real name lol) on tv. Click on the link and go =) Cindy

A POOP SOLUTION

Cindy's picture

Okay this is going to sound gross lol but I'm going to share it anyway

because I know poop is a big problem for all of us. Four wet wash cloths

& a small hand towel can handle virtually any poop emergency. I dont know

about y'all but there is nothing more frustrating than trying to unfold diaper

wipes when you've got a poopy squirmy kid. The normal solution is to

use way too many diaper wipes. I decided I'd had enough of this s*** (excuse

the pun). Now what we do is save wipes for road trips. When we're at home

(Marcel wears pull ups) I just grab four wash cloths ( we get them cheap

at Walmart) wet them in warm water, clean him up and wrap everything up in

the dry towel then discard the dirty diaper and poop in the trash in the garage.

Of course this method only works if you have access to a washer. I do at least

a load of laundry a day so this method works for us, it also saves money. Just

thought I'd share my poopy solution lol.

REALLY IMPORTANT SITE

Cindy's picture

http://www.angelfoodministries.com/menu.asp

I should have thought to share this site earlier. It's for Angel food ministries. For

$30 you get a box of restaurant quality food. We've done it once so far and were

amazed at the qaulity and the ammount of food, especially meat. It's not charity and

you dont have to be poor. You order the food on line. You go pick it up at a church

(and there are many involved, all kinds of religions), no strings attached. You do have

to be sure and pick the food up on time though, otherwise they might give it to somebody

whose really in need. It really is worth checking into, especially with the price of gas, food,

gees if this isnt a recession I dont know what is. You can order once a month, I would really

suggest you check into it =)

IM STEWIE.......

TOYS~back to basics

Cindy's picture

When I was a kid I remember my dad would make a toy for me using a button & a string.

You'd pull on the string & the button would move back and forth rapidly making a swishing

noise. He also used to fold a hankerchief into what looked like a baby in a cradle, he used

to do  that in church to help keep me quiet. Yesterday I took some burgandy ribbon I got

at a thrift store recently, cut it into strands and tied the strands together in the middle.

Marcel had more fun with that silly thing. I know when my brother was little his favorite toy

was pots and pans or an empty box. I think sometimes the best toy is what that costs a few

cents or is even free. Socks! Marcel loves socks. Im wondering what back to basic cheap toys

your kids enjoy?
