has anyone used CARDs (Center for autism and related disorders) services? I have a 6 year old son with high functioning autism and am trying to do and find everything and any help i can. i read about card and wondered if they were legitimate.
he is in kindergarten in a special day class and of course he's not getting all he needs!

I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner. Did you give CARD a try? We used them for several months last year for our then 3 yr old son. We are in Southern California and I'm sure CARD varies by location. Some parents I know raved about CARD but I personally thought that they were inflexible and that they began with very low goals and were frustrating slow about progressing. It is not just me--a friend of mine saw amazing progress in her child with another local company but had to switch to CARD soon after her child turned three (because the other company typically didn't work with over 3). She said CARD had her child wasting time doing things that he had been doing six months before with the other company. She credits her original company with her child's amazing progress in areas of speech.
