While enjoying the sunshine on my face I type this very first blog post.  In a few months time it will be three years ago since I was diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome. There is a strange mixture between pain and relief in my experience getting diagnosed as an adult. So much could have been different. Would life have been less painful? I doubt. Europe is the continent I live in. Next year I will pass the 'magic' age of 40+.

Among my interests are many creative things, like painting and ...ofcourse writing..

Hi Aspie Bird! It's nice to meet you. I also enjoy writing and art. And I sometimes fantasize about going back in time and how/if I would make different decisions based on the knowledge that I have now. Anyway, it seems brave to have a diagnosis as an adult. I know a lot of people who strongly suspect that their fathers/husbands/wives/daughters/grandparents have undiagnosed Aspergers, but will never have an official diagnosis for one reason or another.
