I refused to put underwear on Michael or to let in him the bathtub. He finally got so desperate to poop he went in and put his little seat on the toilet and went. Not very much but it is a huge break through!

Three days in a row with
Three days in a row with poops. There was one accident, but I blame it on two factors. He was playing at the neighbors, and had Miralax in his system. So he probably was unable to hold it as easily. But other than that he has been trying. Maybe this weekend I will work on the Miralax and keep him at home. I am so proud of my little man!
High Fives all around!!
High Fives all around!! Congratulations! (In case Cindy's cut and paste method doesn't work for me - there is supposed to be a cartoon of two people exchanging high fives in this post).

This morning my hubby
This morning my hubby stepped in an "accident" our cat had in the basement (she's getting a little messy in her old age). Anyway, he tracked it all throughout the house before he noticed. Trust me - gas is the least of my worries right now.
Shootingstars, where did you say that little carpet cleaner was for sale - lol.
The one little spot cleaner
The one little spot cleaner I was looking at is $35 at Wal-Mart, but not listed on their website. However I found one listed on the site for $68 for sale that is a regular cleaner rather than a little spot cleaner.
Just for you Perseverence

We have poops twice now...
We have poops twice now... Just little turds each time, but hey he will have to let loose of all the holding soon. I may have to breakout the miralax again.
Holly can you get Michael to
Holly can you get Michael to eat oatmeal? He needs more roughage, little turds
are a sign of not enough roughage & not enough liquid. Gees we talk about
the darndest things on this site lol.
Dehydration is not a problem
Dehydration is not a problem for Michael. He drinks more than he eats. He just holds it several days it seems now. He will not poop at school or therapy, or even at the store. I think why only a little came out was he was scared, doing something new, and probably got bored sitting there. I know there is a backlog that will come when he has to. Which is why we have Miralax prescription. He was so excited to show me his poop so hopefully he will keep it up.
WOW that's control lol.
WOW that's control lol.
My son also held his poop
My son also held his poop for days before we got him to "break down" and go in the toilet. These constipation issues just seemed work themselves out after he began going in the toilet regularly - which he started to do almost immediately after he went in the toilet for the first time. We did praise him and rewarded him quite generously after he did do it in the toilet the first time and each time for quite a few times afterward. You may want to make sure that you keep him regular, but not allow him too get too loose if you can (by using roughage or whatever works best) for the next little while to reinforce the pattern of going daily in the toilet. If he gets too loose at this stage, he may revert to having accidents.
Here's hoping Michael is like my son and will now be equally determined to just go in the toilet. Congratulations, I'm sure it will be a big load of your mind.
