I figure you didnt get my personal message since you're so good at getting back to me.
Try cutting off the melatonin for about a week if you can, Wyatt has probably built up a
tolerance to it. If you can I'd give him benadryl to go to sleep & give him a warm bath
with the light sticks I talked about earlier, keep the lights low. The melatonin will work
better if you take him off of it for just a little bit. I take it myself. Good luck. Im sure we've
all had our share of sleepless nights.

Hi! I personally don't do
Hi! I personally don't do well with Benadryl. I know Wyatt is separate from myself, but I just can't bring myself to give him something that makes me feel wonky and sick. We do try to skip the melatonin whenever we can, so he does have "drug holidays" from it.
Wyatt's not in a bath phase right now. When I do get him in the tub, he likes to get the water out of the tub and onto the carpet. I don't know why anyone would ever put carpet in a bathroom, but there it is.
But you do have a point about the warm bath. Wyatt really needs to have a bath incorporated into his schedule. We're really going to focus on his schedule for the rest of the summer. Maybe I will try to give him a bath in our bathroom. We took the carpet out of there and did a Do-It-Yourself tile job in there. I did buy some light stick bracelets at the dollar store, too.
I've read about doctors
I've read about doctors suggesting Benadryl for children with autism who have trouble sleeping. Have you consulted with Wyatt's doctor about this and any other "emergency" remedies beyond melatonin?
This may sound strange, but for a time (and under the advice of my pediatrician) I was giving my son strong cups of coffee (i.e. caffeine) to calm him (this was during the day for hyperactivity, not to put him to sleep at night). However, it did seem to work quite noticeably for a period of time and if we gave him a cup at night he wold go to sleep readily (although I never did understand the rationale behind the idea). Caffeine is also available in pills.
We have carpet in our master
We have carpet in our master bath too, drives me crazy. Oh I know how about lavendar?
The egyptions used it to sleep & it does help. I remember years
ago Emile told me I needed to get the lavendar out of bedroom because it made him
oversleep. It certainly couldnt hurt. Target used to sell a good sized lavendar sachet
for about four dollars. If you stop & think about it most bath & beauty products that are
meant to calm & relax have lavendar in them.
I guess you haven't
I guess you haven't heard...they found that lavendar makes boys grow breasts. I wish I'd known about lavendar when I was a teenager and hoping for a bit more up top.
you're joking lol?
